SMA (Sub-Miniature version A) connectors are precision subminiature connectors primarily used for higher frequencies with excellent electrical performance from DC through 18 GHz, 50 Ω. These high performance connectors were developed in the 1960s as a minimal connector interface for coaxial cable with a screw type coupling and are still widely used today.
